Tapered Plate Diamond Dowels Sleeve Pocket For Formed Construction Joints Bridge Construction
Our diamond dowel sleeves are made of high-quality ABS material, and the plates are made of mild steel. These plates can have a plain surface, be electrically galvanized, hot-dip galvanized, or be in a black plate finish. Typically, black plate dowels are used for internal construction joints, while galvanized dowels are suitable for external applications.
The Doamond Dowel Sleeve and Plate system provides stability for concrete joints, ensures reliable load transfer, and allows for a smooth transition between slabs without restricting floor movement. The plastic sleeve is secured to the edges of the lumber forms before the concrete is poured, and once the forms are removed, a steel plate is inserted into the sleeve to prepare for the adjoining slab. This Plate Dowel design simplifies the installation process, eliminates the need to drill into slab edges, and reduces labor costs for various types of ground-level concrete slabs, including jointed floors, flatwork, and pavement.
